Role Description
The Financial Administrator/Office Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Olney, supporting the smooth financial and administrative operation of Scroxton & Scroxton. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing payroll, accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, monitoring cash flow, and assisting with budgeting and basic financial reporting. The role also covers general office management such as maintaining records, coordinating vendor and supplier relationships, overseeing office supplies and facilities, and supporting HR-related administration. The person in this position will collaborate closely with the directors and project teams to ensure accurate financial tracking of projects, timely reporting, and efficient office processes. This role suits someone organised, detail-focused, and comfortable taking ownership of both finance-related tasks and wider office coordination. A working knowledge of Xero is vital to the role.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Finance and Accounting, including experience with bookkeeping, invoicing, and financial record-keeping.
- Demonstrated Financial Planning and Analytical Skills to support budgeting, forecasting, and interpreting financial data.
- Excellent Communication skills for working with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and external partners.
- Proficiency with accounting and office software (e.g., Excel, accounting packages, document management tools).
- Proven experience in office management or administrative support in a small to medium-sized business environment.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Relevant qualification in finance, accounting, business administration, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in architecture, construction, or professional services firms is beneficial but not essential.
