Role Description
This is a full-time Financial Adviser role based in Colchester with a hybrid working arrangement, combining office-based work with some flexibility to work from home after successful completion of probation.
The role purpose is to provide and support clients with the provision of excellent independent financial advice, executing the advisory teams’ overall vision, strategy and business plans for the long-term benefit of clients, whilst ensuring compliance with prudential, conduct and other regulatory requirements.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, experienced Adviser looking for the next step.
The opportunity will allow you to grow your business with access to an existing client bank, ensuring immediate engagement opportunities. We support networking through company sponsored events and partnerships with local and national businesses. We encourage building relationships via digital tools and using platforms like LinkedIn for referrals and professional connections. You will be equipped with leading financial planning software such as Conquest for cashflow modelling, PlannerPal for AI supported administration and MI reporting tools like Power BI.

What does our ideal candidate look like?
- Excellent knowledge of the UK financial services marketplace and experience of working within a financially regulated environment.
- Possess exceptional analytical, planning, decision-making and management skills; and exemplary communication and presentation abilities.
- Be an action-oriented individual possessing an entrepreneurial attitude and a desire to transform and adapt to ever changing market requirements.
- Have excellent knowledge of wealth management, pensions, protection, distributors, manufacturers and competitive environment.
- The ability to create a culture of continuous improvement and agility within the team.
- Have the capacity to identify short, medium and long-term business needs and set actions to address them within the team.
- Obtained a relevant approved diploma level financial services qualification and knowledge to be able to converse and challenge as an expert in the provision of complex financial service advice.
- Be able to maintain performance standards in accordance with those outlined in the Key Performance Indicators.
- Via self-assessment and feedback, identify Continuing Professional Development (CPD) needs to maintain and enhance Competent status and undertake appropriate activity to meet those needs.
- Completed a minimum of 5 years' experience as an Independent Financial Adviser.
