Role Focused on Looking After Clients Properly
We’re looking for a qualified Financial Adviser who wants to focus on doing excellent financial planning and building long-term client relationships, with an established portfolio of existing clients and a strong support team around them.
This is an employed adviser role and you won’t be expected to build a client bank from scratch. Your primary responsibility will be to take ownership of an existing portfolio of Twelve Wealth Management clients, ensuring they receive an excellent, proactive and consistent financial planning service.
About Twelve Wealth Management
At Twelve Wealth Management, we believe good financial advice starts with understanding what really matters to our clients and building relationships that last.
As a St. James’s Place Senior Partner Practice, we provide financial planning and wealth management advice to individuals, families and businesses. We place a strong emphasis on the quality of our advice, the service our clients receive and the long-term relationships we build with them.
Our advisers are supported by experienced paraplanners, administrators and specialist advisers, allowing them to focus their time where they can add the greatest value, understanding clients, providing good advice and maintaining strong relationships.
As Twelve continues to grow, we’re expanding our employed advice capability. This is a newly created role and an opportunity to join us at an important stage in that development.
The Role
You’ll take personal ownership of an established portfolio of existing Twelve clients and be responsible for the quality of their ongoing advice and overall service experience.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Building strong, trusted and long-term client relationships
- Leading annual reviews and providing proactive ongoing financial planning advice
- Understanding clients’ changing circumstances, objectives and financial planning needs
- Identifying appropriate new advice opportunities within your existing client relationships
- Producing high-quality advice and documentation that meets regulatory and Quality of Documentation (QoD) standards
- Working closely with paraplanners, administrators and specialist advisers to deliver a seamless client experience
- Ensuring agreed reviews and client service commitments are delivered consistently and on time
This is predominantly a client servicing role rather than one built around finding your own clients. However, good financial planning naturally creates opportunities. Where you identify an additional client need and write new business, you’ll receive a share of the initial advice fees generated.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll need to hold a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning, or equivalent, and ideally have some experience advising clients following qualification.
We’re particularly interested in someone who:
- Enjoys building long-term relationships and takes personal ownership of the client experience
- Cares about achieving good client outcomes and delivering high-quality advice
- Is commercially aware and confident in identifying appropriate planning opportunities
- Has strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Takes pride in producing high-quality, compliant documentation
- Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a wider advice and support team

Reward and Benefits
- Competitive basic salary
- Annual bonus of up to 10% of salary, linked to client servicing and Quality of Documentation targets
- A share of initial advice fees on all new business you write
- Hybrid working, with three days per week in the office
- An established portfolio of existing clients
- Experienced paraplanning, administration and specialist support
Where Could the Role Take You?
Because this is a newly created role, there is genuine scope for it to develop as Twelve grows.
For someone with the right capability and ambition, that could mean helping us expand and ultimately manage a wider team of employed servicing advisers. Alternatively, if your longer-term ambition is to build your own advice business, there may be an opportunity further down the line to progress towards becoming a self-employed adviser.
We don’t expect everyone to want the same career path. What matters is finding someone who cares about clients, takes pride in their advice and wants to grow with the business.
