The Role
The Financial Adviser Development Manager will suit someone who is passionate about developing Financial Advisors and coaching their career paths from Trainee to Adviser level. Someone who is level 4 Financial Planning Diploma qualified and who may have previously been an Adviser themselves but would now like to now step into a people development role. Previous experience in a similar development role would also be beneficial.
The Financial Adviser Development Manager will take the lead and manage the Trainee Financial Adviser Programme, taking full ownership of the Trainee Adviser Academy from recruitment through to Competent Adviser Status (CAS). This includes conducting regular one-to-one meetings in relation to probation, performance and development reviews, supporting career progression.

The Financial Adviser Development Manager will have line management responsibility for Trainee Advisers, Associate Advisers, and Consultants, overseeing their professional development, qualifications, performance and career progression.
The Financial Adviser Development Manager will look to improve the Trainee Adviser Academy and will work with a Learning & Development Specialist to develop to ensure consistency across all trainee advisers.
- Coordinate professional qualifications, ensuring Trainees are on track to complete their Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
- Work with the Operations team to ensure Trainees receive training on Xplan and business processes and standards

The Candidate
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning is essential and a coaching qualification is desirable
- Experience working within the Wealth Management or Financial Planning industry – either as an Adviser coach or Adviser Development Manager, or a Financial Adviser who would like to move into a development role.
- A strong understanding of the Financial Planning advice process.
- Passionate about development with the ability to mentor people and monitor performance management.
