About the Company
Kido is one of London's largest independently owned nursery groups, providing high-quality early years education and childcare. Since launching in 2017, Kido has expanded to 21 nurseries across London, employing over 650 people, with plans to grow to 50 nurseries within the next five years. About the Role
Kido is seeking a commercially minded Finance Analyst to join its UK Finance team. Reporting directly to the UK Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this role will provide technical accounting expertise, strengthen financial controls, perform financial analysis, and support strategic growth initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with an outsourced finance shared service team while driving improvements in reporting, automation, financial planning, and business performance.
Location: London, United Kingdom (Hybrid)
Salary: £45,000–£60,000 per year (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities
Financial Control & Technical Accounting
- Review and improve balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure balance sheet accuracy and financial integrity.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation issues.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and ensure consistent accounting treatments.
- Support statutory accounts preparation, audits, and regulatory reporting.
- Develop and maintain strong financial controls and governance processes.
- Work closely with the outsourced finance shared service team to improve reporting quality.
- Challenge accounting treatments and supporting schedules where appropriate.
- Improve month-end close processes and financial reporting.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and finance partners.

Financial Analysis & Business Support
- Analyze financial results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop financial models, reconciliation schedules, and analytical tools.
- Improve efficiency through process standardization and automation.
- Support finance transformation and reporting improvement projects.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Support acquisition accounting and business integration activities.
- Partner with operational teams to improve financial decision-making.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Education & Certifications
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification.
Experience
- Strong background in technical financial accounting.
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close processes.
- Experience working with outsourced or shared-service finance teams.
- Experience in multi-site or rapidly growing businesses is preferred.
- Exposure to acquisition accounting and business integration is desirable.
- Experience supporting finance transformation initiatives is an advantage.
