Job Description
Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Financial Analyst to support financial reporting for defence projects and contribute to future bid campaigns. The successful candidate will play a key role in finance operations, ensuring accurate reporting, financial control, compliance, and support for month-end and statutory reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll journals and payroll-related activities.
- Manage fixed asset control and monitoring.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
- Handle intercompany invoicing.
- Support statutory audit activities.
- Produce Forex reporting.
- Complete month-end finance activities.
- Support financial reporting for defence programmes.
- Assist finance activities related to future bid campaigns.
Essential Skills & Experience
Candidates should demonstrate experience rather than relying solely on formal qualifications. Required experience includes:
- Strong understanding of finance principles.
- Experience with payroll processing.
- Fixed asset control and monitoring.
- Invoicing and financial administration.
- Forex reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong report writing and documentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
- Solid understanding of work package management and work package control.
- Knowledge of risk management principles.

Additional Requirements
- Occasional travel within the UK and Europe.
- Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential.
- Flexible working arrangements available (37.5-hour working week).
- Eligible to obtain Ministry of Defence (MoD) Security Clearance.
- DBS clearance required; current SC clearance preferred.
