SALT is supporting a global consumer goods business seeking a commercially focused Finance Analyst to drive performance management, forecasting, strategic decision support, and business partnering across a complex operating environment.

ROLE OVERVIEW

This role is responsible for supporting month-end close activities, performance analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning to drive business performance and profitability. The successful candidate will partner closely with business units, finance teams, and global stakeholders to provide insight-led decision support, develop performance frameworks, and contribute to strategic initiatives and business cases.

KEY CONTRACT DETAILS

  • 6+ month contract
  • Outside IR35
  • Hybrid working in London

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead monthly month-end close analysis across actuals and forecasts, delivering actionable performance insights.
  • Identify performance risks, opportunities, and profitability drivers, recommending corrective actions where required.
  • Develop and enhance KPI and performance management frameworks with business units and key stakeholders.
  • Support monthly and quarterly reporting and planning cycles in collaboration with finance teams and third-party service providers.
  • Build and evaluate business cases for strategic projects, initiatives, and innovation programmes.
  • Partner with senior leaders across multiple functions to support strategic decision-making and value creation opportunities.

ABOUT YOU

  • Strong understanding of P&L management and key drivers impacting profitability.
  • Proven experience operating effectively within a complex business environment and improving commercial performance.
  • Demonstrated business partnering experience with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience identifying and delivering value creation opportunities.
  • Able to exercise sound judgement, objectivity, resilience, and influence across stakeholder groups.
