Financial Analyst Hertfordshire | Hybrid Permanent Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 per annum

A global technology and manufacturing business is recruiting a Financial Analyst to join its European finance team. This is a high-impact role offering ownership of a growing international entity, with responsibility for accurate financial reporting, controls, forecasting and finance business partnering.

The role will act as the key finance contact for the entity, supporting operational stakeholders while ensuring robust reporting, strong controls and effective forecasting. There will also be the opportunity to contribute to wider finance activity and transformation initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking ownership of financial reporting for an international entity, including month-end close, reconciliations and submissions into the group consolidation system
  • Acting as the key finance partner for operational stakeholders, supporting reporting, forecasting, controls and financial insight
  • Managing revenue recognition and accounting for complex contracts
  • Preparing forecasts, budgets and cash flow reporting
  • Supporting banking activities, payments and cash management
  • Coordinating payroll activity and local compliance requirements
  • Supporting statutory accounts, tax submissions and external audit processes
  • Maintaining and strengthening financial controls in line with group policy
  • Partnering with operational and finance teams across the wider business
  • Supporting wider finance activity and transformation initiatives where required
  • Helping improve finance processes, reporting quality and control documentation

Requirements

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, with strong experience in financial reporting, accounting or financial control. You will need a solid understanding of end-to-end finance processes, good ledger experience and the confidence to take ownership of an entity.

  • Strong Excel skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently will be important.
  • The role requires someone proactive, organised and comfortable managing reporting deadlines, while also building effective relationships with finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Advantageous Experience

  • Experience with SAP, Oracle HFM or other consolidation and reporting systems would be advantageous, as would knowledge of IFRS 16 and IFRS 9.
  • Previous experience in a complex, international or transformation-focused environment would also be useful.
