Financial Analyst Oxford 6-month Contract £37.00 per hour - Umbrella

ARM have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join a global leader in aerospace innovation.

The Role:

  • Prepare and post monthly payroll journals, ensuring payroll costs, pension contributions, and associated liabilities are accurately recorded within the finance system. Work closely with the Payroll team to resolve queries and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring all acquisitions, disposals, depreciation, and asset transfers are accurately recorded. Monitor capital expenditure and support periodic asset verification exercises.
  • Prepare and submit accurate VAT returns in line with HMRC regulations, ensuring VAT transactions are correctly accounted for and maintaining appropriate supporting documentation for audit purposes.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the financial records.
  • Raise and reconcile intercompany invoices, ensuring transactions are processed accurately, balances agree across group entities, and any variances are investigated and resolved in a timely manner.

  • Good working knowledge of finance principles, experience with payroll, asset control, and monitoring, invoicing, Forex reporting
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good report and procedure writing skills
  • Use of MS Office and Excel in particular
  • Ability to coordinate a number of tasks simultaneously, and to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
  • Solid understanding of work package management and work package control
  • Knowledge of risk management principles
