Vero Recruitment has been exclusively appointed to recruit a Senior Analyst - Operations Finance for a high-profile international consumer business based in Aberdeenshire.
About our client
Our client is an established and highly recognisable business with operations across the UK and internationally.
Following a period of significant change, the business has recently entered an exciting new chapter, with a renewed focus on sustainable growth, operational performance and greater financial discipline.
Finance will play an important role in supporting this next stage of development, creating an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to join the business at an interesting point in its journey.
The role
Reporting to the Head of Operations Finance, the Operations Finance Senior Analyst will provide financial analysis, insight and challenge across a significant operational cost base.
This will be a highly analytical and commercially focused role, working closely with stakeholders across Finance, Operations and the wider business to understand performance, identify opportunities for improvement and support better decision-making.

- Providing timely and meaningful financial analysis across operational areas
- Working closely with operational stakeholders to understand performance, identify trends and challenge areas of underperformance
- Supporting the development and maintenance of standard costing across UK and international operations
- Providing analysis around COGS, manufacturing costs and operational performance
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting, working with FP&A and operational teams to develop robust assumptions
- Monitoring working capital, including stock controls and inventory adjustments
- Reviewing and challenging capital expenditure across operational divisions
- Producing ad hoc analysis to support operational and commercial decision-making
- Working with FP&A and IT to improve financial systems, processes and reporting
- Identifying opportunities to automate reporting and reduce time spent gathering and manipulating data

Who are we looking for
We are looking to speak with accountants who have strong analytical skills and enjoy working closely with operational and non-finance stakeholders.

You should be comfortable analysing complex financial information and translating this into meaningful insight for non-finance stakeholders. Experience of standard costing, inventory accounting, budgeting, forecasting and operational business partnering would all be highly relevant.
Strong Excel skills are essential, while experience using Power Query and Power BI would be advantageous.
