The position
Reporting to the Head of Finance UK&I – Development and Construction, the role is responsible for supporting the team to deliver accurate monthly reporting for our Development subsidiaries. Our UKI development projects are structured as separate legal entities and require monthly transactional processing and annual reporting.

The role will look after the transactional processing for several of our development SPVs and will support in preparing financial statements and intercompany reconciliations for our development subsidiaries.
There will also be the opportunity to work on projects which focus on simplifying current processes with the implementation of our new ERP system.
Please note that this position is being offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis.
Key accountabilities:
- Reviewing spend to date on our development projects, and recharging to development SPVs.
- Ownership of the financial ledgers for our development subsidiaries, including reconciling invoices raised and intercompany loan financing.
- Preparation of management accounts for our development subsidiaries to support in due diligence processes when the development subsidiaries are being sold.
- Ownership of the statutory financial statements for the development subsidiaries, including supporting on the audit of these where required.
- Support in eliminating intercompany transactions for our monthly UKI Consolidations.
- Support with ad hoc tasks i.e. 3rd party information requests.

Knowledge/Skills
- Understanding of accounting.
- Knowledge of financial systems.
- Organized with good time management skills.
- Tenacity and attention to detail to deliver high quality financial information.
- Work autonomously and be proactive to meet routine internal reporting deadlines.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience
- Experience with financial systems. IFS system knowledge would be advantageous but not essential.
Qualifications
- Junior / Part Qualified Accountant.
