Your new company
A superb opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded FP&A Analyst to join a fast-growing and ambitious organisation experiencing an exciting period of growth and transformation. This is not a role for someone who simply reports the numbers. We're looking for a sharp, data-driven finance professional who thrives on turning insight into action and can confidently influence decision-making at a senior level.
Your new role
Working closely with the Head of Finance and wider leadership team, you'll play a key role in delivering meaningful analysis, challenging performance, identifying opportunities, and helping shape business strategy. You will relish having the opportunity to influence the SLT, so the ability to articulate recommendations, challenge constructively, and back up your arguments with robust data will be critical. Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and enhance management reporting, forecasting and budgeting processes.
- Leverage BI tools and data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to drive performance.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership with confidence and credibility.
- Support the ongoing development of reporting, dashboards and business intelligence capabilities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

A full chartered qualification is not required, however the confidence to present and influence senior stakeholders is.
