Finance Data Analyst – Commercial Finance Team

The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Data Analyst to join our Commercial Finance team. Our mission:
- Design, develop, and maintain a robust data infrastructure, analytics reports, and visual dashboards that empower our teams to make strategic business decisions.
- Leverage Power BI and advanced data analysis to create tools that drive commercial insights and commercial solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Power BI & Reporting Development
- Build, optimize, and maintain high-performance Power BI dashboards, visual reports, and self-service analytics templates tailored for commercial finance and sales stakeholders.
Data Modeling & Analytics Infrastructure
- Develop structured data models, DAX measures, and Power Query transformations.
- Ensure reports are fast, accurate, and scalable.
Collaborative Requirement Gathering
- Partner with the commercial finance team and sales report-users to gather precise business needs and translate them into technical dashboard solutions.
Central Data Alignment
- Work with central data analytics teams to align on data governance, schema designs, and integrate central data pipelines into commercial finance reporting suites.

Data Integrity & Auditing
- Conduct regular audits and validations of commercial datasets to ensure data integrity and consistency across all published reports.
Process Automation
- Continuously identify opportunities to automate manual data collection, processing, and reporting workflows.
- Improve the efficiency of data workflows and visualization tools.
Technology Modernization
- Stay current with the latest Power BI advancements, visualization trends, and data analytics tools.
- Drive continual enhancement of our reporting capabilities.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience
- 2+ years in financial analysis, commercial finance, or sales operations analytics.
Technical Competencies
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query).
- Strong working knowledge of SQL or querying techniques.
- Experience with financial planning systems, ERP platforms, or similar software is a major asset.
Analytical Mindset
- Ability to synthesize large, unstructured datasets into clear commercial narratives.
Communication Skills
- Strong ability to explain financial concepts and data trends to non-technical sales leaders.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
