Finance Analyst

The Opportunity

We are seeking a commercially aware and analytically minded finance professional to join a growing finance team. This role will support a range of financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, and business partnering activities, helping provide insight into performance and supporting informed decision-making across the organisation.

The position offers exposure to both operational and commercial finance, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to work across reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement activities while partnering with stakeholders throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare regular financial reports, analysis, and performance commentary to support decision-making.
  • Produce variance analysis, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities across revenue, costs, and profitability.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities.
  • Assist with month-end reporting, reconciliations, and financial reviews.
  • Analyse operational, commercial, and financial data to provide meaningful business insight.
  • Prepare KPI reporting and performance dashboards for management teams.
  • Support the maintenance of accurate financial records and reporting outputs.
  • Ensure reporting is produced in a consistent, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Investigate anomalies and reconcile data from multiple sources.
  • Assist with the preparation of statutory, management, and group reporting requirements.
  • Support the development and improvement of financial processes, controls, and reporting tools.
  • Work with stakeholders across finance and non-finance functions to improve understanding of business performance.
  • Contribute to automation, simplification, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, controls, and reporting requirements.

Skills & Experience

  • Part-qualified, qualified, or qualified by experience finance professional.
  • Previous experience within a finance, reporting, commercial finance, FP&A, management accounting, or financial analysis role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience producing financial reports, reconciliations, and performance analysis.
  • Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and month-end processes.
  • Confident handling and interpreting large volumes of data.
  • Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to a range of stakeholders.
  • Comfortable managing multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Experience with finance systems, ERP platforms, or reporting tools would be beneficial.
