We are seeking an Analyst to join the PDX Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team, supporting the delivery of our short- and long-term financial objectives. The scope of responsibilities includes FP&A planning, analysis and reporting activities that support the execution of financial goals and initiatives across a growing organisation.

Hybrid role - working onsite 3 days per week
What you will do
- Analyse transactional and operational data, identify anomalies, and recommend accruals and reversals to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Develop, standardise and improve recurring analyses and reports to provide business and financial insights and support monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting and budgeting processes, including MBR, QBR and AOP.
- Build and update dashboards, PowerPoint presentations and other reporting and business intelligence tools by extracting and analysing data from various systems.
- Independently investigate data issues and information provided, ask pertinent questions and identify root causes. Collaborate with functional business partners and systems support teams to improve data quality.
- Collaborate with business partners to develop key assumptions and drivers for decision support, and independently conduct ad hoc analysis to generate meaningful business insights and observations.
- Analyse the profitability of products and services and identify key P&L drivers, including manufacturing and SIOP-related drivers, to highlight risks and opportunities and support appropriate actions.
- Translate business inputs into financial assumptions and build and maintain forecast models to project future business trends and results across areas including revenue, new product launches, pricing, operating expenses and CapEx.
- Proactively learn and adopt new systems and tools to improve analytical capabilities, efficiency and accuracy.

How you will get here
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a relevant field.
Experience
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Finance.
- Prior experience in a large global company and a highly matrixed organisation.
- Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficient user of financial and reporting systems such as; SAP, Hyperion, Hyperion Planning, Power BI, Cognos, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to summarise and present information in a concise and effective manner.
- Strong attention to detail with a consistent track record of delivering high-quality work. Ability to learn quickly, meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Good understanding of business processes, operations and financial controls, with the ability to identify control weaknesses in existing processes and recommend appropriate mitigation actions.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Primary office in Birmingham, United Kingdom. Hybrid working.
