Finance Assistant | Hybrid
I’m currently working with a growing specialist recruitment business operating within a highly technical sector, supporting clients across an established and international market.
The business has a close-knit finance function and is looking to bring in a Finance Assistant to support the Finance Manager and Finance Director across the day-to-day finance operation.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a finance position within a smaller, entrepreneurial business, where you’ll have genuine ownership of your work, exposure to management accounting and the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders.

The role will include:
- Raising and processing client invoices, checking timesheets and expenses for accuracy
- Managing freelancer payments and supporting the wider Accounts Payable process
- Reconciling timesheet and billing information through internal and client systems
- Verifying and maintaining freelancer bank details ahead of payment runs
- Completing monthly company credit card and Amex reconciliations
- Investigating discrepancies and supporting the Finance Manager with wider finance administration

We’re looking for someone with:
- Previous experience within an accounts or finance administration role
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Experience across invoicing, AP and reconciliations
- Good Excel / spreadsheet skills
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines and payment cut-offs
- Strong communication skills when dealing with clients, freelancers and internal stakeholders
