Finance Assistant – £26,000 - £28,000 + Study Support & Company Benefits – Newbury, Berkshire (5 days in the office)
FryerMiles is partnering with a leading PE backed business based in Newbury, Berkshire, who are seeking to recruit a Finance Assistant as the organisation continues to experience strong growth. Reporting to the Finance Manager and working in a large team, you will be responsible for all day to day processing of finance transactions as well as supporting with month end.
The Duties of the Finance Assistant Include:
- Monitor outstanding invoices and proactively follow up overdue accounts by telephone and email.
- Provide regular updates and reporting on aged receivables.
- Raise sales invoices and credit notes accurately and promptly.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Support general finance administration and assist with ad hoc finance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with financial controls, policies, and relevant accounting standards.
- Assisting with customer and supplier rebates
- Communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns
- Helping to prepare management accounts
- Preparing monthly journals

The Successful Finance Assistant Will:

- Finance & Accountancy Degree or similar
- Proactive, detailed-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excel skills (V-look-up, Pivots) Macros would be a nice to have.
- Excellent communicator, willing to build strong working relationships within the business
