🚨 Part-Time Finance Assistant | Office Based | 22.5 Hours per Week 🚨
I'm currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a well-established business in a varied role with a strong focus on employee expenses and finance administration. This isn't a typical Finance Assistant position. We're looking for someone who has hands-on experience managing employee expense claims and understands the importance of ensuring they're processed accurately, fairly and in line with both company policy and HMRC guidelines.
💼 Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the end-to-end employee expense process.
- Reviewing and validating cash and corporate credit card expense claims.
- Confidently questioning claims where additional information or clarification is needed.
- Ensuring compliance with company expense policies and HMRC regulations.
- Managing the corporate credit card programme.
- Supporting Credit Control and the wider Finance team with day-to-day finance activities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
