Financial Assistant
Location: Bristol
About The Role
Hybrid is a full-service marketing partner for the education sector backed by unrivalled insight, advanced technology, and AI-driven enrolment strategies. With teams across six countries and over 16 years of dedicated experience in higher education, our integrated marketing solutions help education brands grow worldwide. The Hybrid Finance team is based in Bristol and Kathmandu but works closely with the whole company as well as the US-based EAB accounting team.
We’re looking for an ambitious finance assistant to assist the Finance team with transactional finance, reconciliations, month-end processes, and wider finance operations. This role is ideally suited to someone who is eager to learn, develop their skills, and build a long-term career in finance.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Control
- Support chasing customers on current and overdue debt, working with wider team to escalate as appropriate to maintain cash balances
- Maintain records for expected payments, reporting weekly to FC and SLT
Accounts Payable
- PO matching
- Invoice processing
- Supplier Statement reconciliation
- Vendor onboarding
Accounts Receivable
- Raise Sales invoices
- Customer onboarding
- Reporting to internal departments on invoicing gaps

Bank & Treasury
- Bank reconciliation and processing
- Supplier payment runs
- Inbox management for AP, AR and Accounts, assigning emails to the team and managing queries from partners, suppliers and colleagues.
- Support wider finance team and administration tasks
About you:
As we are a high-growth business, you'll be a self-starter by nature; a hands-on approach with excellent communication across all levels, with the ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively in order to explain financial concepts to non-finance colleagues. Have excellent commercial acumen, along with good project management and analytical skills.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant experience in finance or transactional support services
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience working with data & comfortable using excel
- Experience with finance & CRM systems (NetSuite, Salesforce etc)
- Ability to multi-task and a positive approach
- Enthusiasm to be part of a growing company in a rapidly changing digital media market
- Initiative to identify opportunities to drive process improvements across Hybrid
- Interested in long-term professional development and progression
