Finance Assistant | Hayes | £30,000–£34,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join a busy and collaborative Finance team based in Hayes, Middlesex, following the internal promotion of the current Finance Assistant.

This is a varied role offering the opportunity to build experience across different areas of Finance, with a combination of core responsibilities and flexible support across the wider team.

The role

You will take ownership of employee expenses and finance administration, while also providing support across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Management Accounting.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing employee expenses and corporate card transactions
  • Dealing with expense queries and supporting employees with the process
  • Maintaining finance records and company administration
  • Supporting Accounts Payable with invoices, supplier queries and reconciliations
  • Supporting Accounts Receivable with cash allocation, customer accounts and outstanding balances
  • Assisting with month-end activities, reconciliations and reporting
  • Supporting audits and wider finance projects
  • Providing cover and support to the wider Finance team during busy periods and holidays
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and controls

About you

We're looking for someone with previous experience in a Finance Assistant, AP, AR or similar finance role who is keen to continue developing their skills.

You'll ideally have:

  • Good understanding of finance processes
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management
  • Confident communication skills
  • A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach
  • A willingness to learn and support different areas of Finance
  • A collaborative, team-focused attitude
