About the Role
The Company is looking for a Finance Assistant to provide support to the Finance and Payroll department to deliver a comprehensive, efficient, and compliant accounts management system.
Please note: This is a full-time, on-site role, working Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm.
Key Tasks
- Undertaking bank reconciliation.
- Gathering invoices/receipts from our sites: Sheffield/Rotherham, Leeds & Mental Health Unit.
- Checking, uploading, and adding tracking to invoices.
- Support with raising invoices and credit control.
- Chasing unreconciled and historic outstanding items.
- Support with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Support with the preparation for year-end.
- Support/cover for payroll.

Requirements
Successful candidates must have/be:
- A minimum 2 years' experience working in accounting/bookkeeping.
- Understanding of confidentiality, information-sharing, financial due diligence, and risk mitigation.
- The ability to demonstrate effective communication, planning, and organization skills.
- Highly motivated and solution-focused, able to work with patience, empathy, and professionalism in challenging environments.
- Experience of using payroll and accounting software: Employment Hero & Xero.

The following criteria is desirable but not essential:
- Understanding of UK Tax law and compliance with other statutory regulations including PAYE.
- Relevant finance qualifications.
- Strong Excel capabilities.
- Knowledge of working within the supported housing sector would be advantageous.
