Finance Assistant Role at PointWire

What's Involved?

As a Finance Assistant, you will gain hands-on experience across a broad range of finance activities, working closely with our Finance Manager, as well as the wider business to play a key role in supporting the smooth running of our finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expenses: Process employee expenses against company expenses policy.
  • Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports and spreadsheets.
  • Bank reconciliations: Checking transactions against bank statements and helping to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate financial records: Keep financial systems up-to date.
  • Support the Finance Manager: With finance related queries from the wider business.
  • General finance administration: Including; filing, organising documents and, supporting month end processes.
  • General administration: Supporting the Operations Team with any additional administrative tasks.

About You - Skills & Attributes

Essential

  • Strong communicator: Both written and verbal.
  • Strong numerical skills: Confident working with figures.
  • Excellent attention to detail: With the ability to spot errors/ discrepancies.
  • Good problem-solving skills: With the confidence to investigate discrepancies.
  • Proficient with IT systems: Using Microsoft Office as a base.
  • Understanding of Excel: And basic formulas.

Desirable

  • Relevant degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Previous experience in a finance or accounting position.
  • Working towards your AAT qualifications.
  • Experience working within Cyber Security or Tech related fields.
  • Experience or an understanding of Xero.

Job Location / Travel Requirements

Like all roles at PointWire, this role is Hybrid-Remote. This means that travel is required for the role at a minimum to attend team meetings and collaborate with colleagues but may require travel to customer & partner sites to build meaningful relationships. When you’re not required at a customer meeting, partner meeting, team meeting, or any other in person collaboration requirement; you will be able to work from home.
