Finance Assistant
A growing international technology business is seeking a motivated Finance Assistant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance graduate or early-career finance professional looking to gain broad, hands-on experience across multiple areas of finance while progressing with professional studies.
Responsibilities
- Process purchase and sales ledger transactions.
- Raise customer invoices and support credit control activities.
- Assist with payment runs and bank reconciliations.
- Support month-end tasks, including journals, accruals, and prepayments.
- Prepare VAT returns and financial reports.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Respond to finance-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Support process improvement and finance projects.

Ideal Candidate

- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Studying towards, or planning to begin, a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or AAT).
- Previous finance, internship, placement year, or office-based experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Highly organised, proactive, and keen to build a career in finance.
