Finance Assistant / Accountant – 12 Month FTC
Location: Canary Wharf, London
Working Pattern: 3 days per week onsite
Contract: 12-month Fixed-Term Contract
We are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant / Accountant to join a financial services organisation on a 12-month FTC basis.
We are looking for someone with a strong accounting background and, importantly, previous banking experience. The successful candidate will support core finance, accounting control, and reporting activities within the team.

Key Requirements
- Previous banking experience is essential
- Experience in finance, accounting, financial control, or reporting
- ACCA qualified or part-qualified is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of accounting processes, reconciliations, and financial controls
- Good Excel skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Spanish language skills would be highly desirable but are not essential
