Company Description
NORSE HOMES LIMITED is a Nottingham-based construction company delivering a range of residential development projects across the East Midlands. The company is involved in pre-planning land viability assessments and development cost feasibility studies to support informed investment decisions. NORSE HOMES designs and develops bespoke one-off new builds as well as large strategic new build schemes. The organization also undertakes joint venture developments and collaborates with landowners interested in selling parcels of land, with or without planning permission.
Role Description
The Financial Assistant role at NORSE HOMES is a part-time, on-site position based in Nottingham. The Financial Assistant will support daily financial operations, including:

- Preparing and processing invoices
- Tracking payments
- Assisting with cost reporting for construction projects
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Supporting basic accounting entries
- Reconciling accounts
- Preparing summaries for management review
The role will also involve:
- Assisting with budget monitoring
- Liaising with internal teams and external partners on financial queries
- Helping ensure compliance with company financial procedures
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, support feasibility studies, and assist with project cost analysis.
- Skills in Invoicing and Finance to manage billing, track payments, and support day-to-day financial administration.
- Accounting knowledge to assist with ledger entries, reconciliations, and basic financial reporting.
- Effective Communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, suppliers, and partners, and to handle financial queries clearly and professionally.

Beneficial Experience and Skills:
- Relevant experience in a finance or accounting support role, preferably within construction or property development.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting or finance software.
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
Preferred but Not Mandatory:
- A qualification or coursework in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
