The Role
We’re looking for a Finance Assistant to join our fast-paced, high-performing Finance team in Manchester.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their finance career within a supportive environment, where you’ll gain broad experience across day-to-day financial operations and have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced management team.
You’ll play an important role in helping ensure our financial processes run smoothly, accurately and efficiently, while also contributing to our ambition to continuously improve and deliver a best-in-class service.
What you will do
As a Finance Assistant, you’ll support a range of finance activities across our operations, including:
- Supporting the purchase ledger process across global operations, including processing and posting invoices and obtaining relevant approvals.
- Managing finance inboxes and responding to queries from colleagues, suppliers and other third parties.
- Assisting with supplier statement reconciliations and maintaining accurate supplier records.
- Supporting the new supplier setup process.
- Assisting with the preparation of payment runs, ensuring supplier payments are accurate.
- Supporting daily bank reconciliations and transactional reporting.
- Assisting with month-end processes and helping the wider Finance team meet reporting deadlines.
- Supporting the team with a variety of ad-hoc finance activities and projects.

Requirements
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is organised, diligent and enjoys working in a busy team environment.
You’ll ideally have:
- An interest in finance and a desire to build a career within the field.
- An interest in, or be working towards, a relevant finance qualification.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- A proactive mindset and a desire to continuously learn and improve.
An interest in health and fitness would be advantageous.
