Finance Assistant – Data & Controls
£26,250 | Home-Based | Fixed-Term
Graduates are also welcome to apply. This is a great first role in finance for someone with solid data skills and an interest in AI and technology. You'd join a growing business where you'll pick up experience that will serve you well for the rest of your career.
Are you methodical, persistent and happy to keep going until the paperwork matches? A growing UK technology business I'm working with is looking for a Finance Assistant to join its finance operations function on a fixed-term contract. The role is home-based and pays £26,250.
You'll make sure customer contracts, account records and supporting evidence are accurate and complete before they move on to payment and billing. You'll be the person who catches errors before they become problems.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
