Salary: Pro-rated full time £30,000 pa

Cordell and Co Solicitors is a law firm based in Dorking, Surrey. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounts Assistant to join our friendly and professional team. The Role
Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day financial administration of the firm, ensuring compliance with accounting procedures and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing client and office account transactions
- Posting receipts, payments and journal entries
- Performing daily bank reconciliations
- Assisting with invoice preparation and credit control activities
- Processing supplier invoices and payments
- Supporting month-end and year-end accounting processes
- Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems
- Assisting with payroll administration, where required
- Ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and internal procedures
- Responding to finance-related enquiries from colleagues and suppliers

About You
The ideal candidate will potentially have:
- Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional communication skills and a confidential approach to sensitive information
