We’re working with an established Glasgow-based business to recruit a Finance Assistant on a 3-month temporary contract. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid transactional finance experience who enjoys variety and is confident working across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

You’ll join a friendly, down-to-earth business where no two days are quite the same. The role is hands-on and covers everything from processing invoices and bank reconciliations to customer accounts, payment runs and month-end support.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Processing purchase invoices, credit notes and purchase orders
  • Allocating payments and reconciling accounts
  • Supporting credit control and following up outstanding debt
  • Completing daily bank reconciliations
  • Processing expenses and credit card transactions
  • Preparing supplier payment runs
  • Supporting month-end processes
  • Producing reports and providing finance support across the wider business

About You

We’re looking for someone who has previous experience in a hands-on, all-round finance role, ideally within an SME or manufacturing environment.

You’ll need:

  • Strong Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience
  • Experience with bank reconciliations and journals
  • Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A proactive approach
