We’re working with an established Glasgow-based business to recruit a Finance Assistant on a 3-month temporary contract. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid transactional finance experience who enjoys variety and is confident working across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
You’ll join a friendly, down-to-earth business where no two days are quite the same. The role is hands-on and covers everything from processing invoices and bank reconciliations to customer accounts, payment runs and month-end support.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Processing purchase invoices, credit notes and purchase orders
- Allocating payments and reconciling accounts
- Supporting credit control and following up outstanding debt
- Completing daily bank reconciliations
- Processing expenses and credit card transactions
- Preparing supplier payment runs
- Supporting month-end processes
- Producing reports and providing finance support across the wider business

About You
We’re looking for someone who has previous experience in a hands-on, all-round finance role, ideally within an SME or manufacturing environment.
You’ll need:
- Strong Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience
- Experience with bank reconciliations and journals
- Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- A proactive approach
