This role sits within RD Content, our production business, based at our Holborn office.
The Role
We are looking for a Finance Assistant to support the day-to-day financial operations of RD Content and the wider group. Working closely with the Finance Manager and Finance Director, you will play a hands-on role in keeping our accounts accurate, timely, and well-organised across multiple entities.
This role suits someone progressing through an accounting qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) or recently qualified, who wants real operational finance experience in a fast-moving, creative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Core Finance Operations
- Reconcile bank accounts across HSBC.
- Prepare, create, and send client invoices.
- Create and issue purchase orders in alignment with project budgets.
- Manage subscription payments through Cledara.

Payments & Cashflow
- Set up bank payments, transfers, and supplier settlements through HSBC.
- Assist with weekly cashflow tracking and monthly forecasting inputs.
- Manage bank accounts for production, sales, and creative teams through Revolut and Confirma.
- Monitor outstanding debts and support credit control activities, including chasing overdue payments; maintain accurate AR records.
Management Accounts Support
- Support the Finance Manager in preparing monthly accounts, journals, and schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of accruals, prepayments, and cost allocations.
Payroll Support
- Assist the Finance Manager and Finance Director with monthly payroll processing.
- Help coordinate payroll-related queries with managers and the People & Culture team.
Revenue Recognition & Project Finance
- Support the Finance team with project management teams across production and post-production to calculate and update revenue recognition weekly.
- Support in ensuring alignment between project progress, budgets, and revenue milestones.
- Support in tracking outstanding invoices and support credit control processes.
Cross-Company Coordination
- Communicate with RD's international external advisors in New York, Abu Dhabi, and Singapore on intercompany reconciliations and financial queries.
- Help maintain financial consistency across the group.

About You
Essential
- Progressing toward an accounting qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA), or recently completed.
- 1-3 years of experience in a finance or accounts role.
- Strong Excel/Sheets skills and confidence working with accounting systems (ideally Xero experience is useful).
- Meticulous attention to detail - bank reconciliations and revenue recognition demand accuracy.
- Good communication skills, especially when working with producers and project managers unfamiliar with finance.
- Willingness to learn quickly and take ownership of core financial processes.
- Positive, collaborative attitude.
Desirable
- Experience in a production, studio, broadcast, or equipment rental business.
- Familiarity with Revolut, Confirma, or Cledara.
- Exposure to multi-entity or intercompany accounting.
