Commercial Accountant (Part-Time) Belfast Area
Part-Time Hours | 13-Month Fixed Term Contract

Your New Company
A leading Northern Ireland business with a strong market presence is seeking to appoint a Commercial Accountant to join its finance team on a 13-month fixed-term basis. This is a business that values commercial insight, data-driven decision-making, and collaborative working. The successful candidate will enjoy significant exposure to senior leadership and play a key role in supporting commercial performance across the organisation.
Your New Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will act as a key business partner to operational and commercial stakeholders, providing insightful analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making. Key responsibilities will include:
- Producing monthly management reporting packs and presentation materials for senior leadership.
- Delivering detailed sales, margin, profitability, and performance analysis.
- Partnering with department heads to provide financial insight and commercial recommendations.
- Supporting month-end reporting, KPI reporting, and variance analysis.
- Maintaining and enhancing financial models and reporting tools.
- Conducting ad hoc commercial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Reviewing management information to ensure accuracy and meaningful commercial insight.
- Supporting process improvement initiatives and reporting automation projects.
- Providing financial support to a broad range of departments across the business.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

What You'll Need to Succeed
To be considered for this opportunity, you should possess:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualifications.
- At least 2 years' post-qualified experience within a commercial or industry-based finance role.
- Strong financial analysis, business partnering, and commercial acumen.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- The confidence to challenge, influence, and present financial information to senior management.
- A proactive and commercially minded approach with a strong attention to detail.
