About the Company

A leading European business require an experienced Interim Financial Controller to support its French operations through transformation and growth. This is an immediate requirement and would suit a qualified accountant who is comfortable stepping into a fast-paced, international environment and taking ownership from day one. 2 days in the office.

About the Role

Working closely with the wider Accounting and FP&A teams, you will take responsibility for financial control and reporting across the French entity.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ownership of the month-end close, delivering accurate reporting within a 5-day close
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls
  • Working closely with FP&A and wider finance stakeholders
  • Partnering with teams across Payroll, HR and the wider business
  • Supporting the business through an ongoing finance restructure and period of change
  • Identifying opportunities to improve existing processes and ways of working
  • Providing strong financial oversight within a fast-paced international environment

Qualifications

You will ideally have:

  • ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent accounting qualification
  • 6-7+ years' post-qualified experience
  • Experience in Media, E-commerce, FMCG or Technology

Required Skills

  • Experience working across a French entity
  • Strong Financial Controller / financial accounting experience
  • A track record of delivering month-end within tight deadlines
  • Strong reconciliation, controls and stakeholder-management experience
  • Experience working across multiple functions and with international stakeholders

Preferred Skills

  • French language skills would be a strong advantage, but are not essential
  • Big 4 experience would be beneficial but is not required
  • Exposure to inventory accounting would also be advantageous

Pay range and compensation package

£500-£600 per day
