Integrity is looking for an experienced and commercially minded Financial Controller to join our team in Aberdeen.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to take a key position within a dynamic, growing organisation operating across the energy, industrial, marine, infrastructure and emerging energy sectors.

We are looking for more than someone who simply reports the numbers. We want a Financial Controller who understands the business behind them — someone who can provide insight, challenge where appropriate, strengthen our financial controls and help our leadership team make informed commercial decisions.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, the Financial Controller will take responsibility for the effective financial management, reporting and control of the business.

The role will combine financial leadership, management accounting, commercial support, forecasting, cash management, compliance and continuous improvement, with the opportunity to influence how our finance function develops as Integrity continues to grow.

You will work closely with operational, commercial and project teams, giving you visibility across the entire organisation and the opportunity to make a genuine impact.

Key Responsibilities

The role will be broad and varied and is expected to include:

  • Ownership of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
  • Preparation of budgets, forecasts and longer-term financial plans
  • Cash-flow forecasting and working capital management
  • Oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit control
  • Monitoring project financial performance, margins and profitability
  • Providing meaningful financial and commercial analysis to senior management
  • Supporting project managers with cost control, forecasting and financial performance
  • Development and monitoring of financial KPIs and management information
  • Balance sheet control and reconciliations
  • VAT, PAYE and other statutory financial obligations
  • Supporting corporation tax and year-end processes
  • Liaison with external accountants, auditors, banks, insurers and professional advisers
  • Payroll oversight and associated financial controls
  • Supporting tendering, pricing and commercial decision-making where required
  • Improving financial systems, processes, reporting and internal controls
  • Identifying opportunities to improve profitability, cash generation and financial efficiency
  • Supporting strategic initiatives, investment decisions and business growth
  • Supporting and developing members of the finance and administration team

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience within energy, oil & gas, engineering, construction, industrial services, marine, renewables, infrastructure or another project-led environment would be beneficial but is not essential.
