📍 Preston | Full Time (35 Hours per Week)
If you're an experienced Financial Controller with a background in a law firm or professional services environment and a strong understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules, we'd love to hear from you.
Joining our Finance team in Preston, you'll work closely with the Finance Director, Executive Board and Heads of Department, providing the financial insight, leadership and control needed to support the firm's continued success.
You'll take ownership of management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and compliance, while leading and developing our Management Accounts and Accounts Payable teams. You'll also play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making, maintaining robust financial controls, managing the annual audit process, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across the firm.

What You'll Bring
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification
- Experience working within a law firm
- Experience working in a professional services background, ideally within a law firm or practice ideal.
- Experience producing management accounts, budgets, forecasts and financial reporting
- Strong technical accounting and financial control experience
- Previous people management experience
- Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using reporting tools such as Power BI
