Role Overview

A fast-growing, market-leading international technology business is seeking a dynamic, high-performing Financial Controller to report directly to the CFO. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to join a forward-thinking, scale-up environment, shape best-in-class financial practices, and drive the financial operations of an exciting global business.

We are looking for an intellectual, proactive self-starter who brings an entrepreneurial spirit, hands-on problem-solving skills, and the flexibility to thrive in an agile, tech-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Operations & Reporting: Oversee day-to-day accounting across all group entities, ensure timely transaction processing, coordinate group-wide payroll, and prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.
  • Group & FX Management: Maintain multi-entity accounting frameworks, oversee intercompany reconciliations, and manage foreign currency transactions alongside associated financial risks.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure full compliance with statutory accounting standards, local regulations, and external audits.
  • FP&A & Strategic Insights: Develop robust budgets, rolling forecasts, and strategic financial analysis to provide actionable performance insights to the CFO and senior leadership.
  • Grants & Funding Management: Manage end-to-end financial tracking and compliance for local, EU, and international innovation grants.
  • Process Automation & AI Integration: Modernize financial controls, elevate reporting systems, and leverage modern automation and AI tools to optimize workflow efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional business heads to align financial management with commercial and operational growth goals.

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a strong academic background.
  • Proven track record in multi-entity accounting, consolidation, group financial management, and handling foreign currency exposure.
  • Advanced proficiency in modern accounting software/ERPs and expert-level Excel capabilities (complex formulas, financial modeling, and data analytics).
  • Prior experience managing local, EU-wide, or international innovation grants and funding programs.
  • Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills combined with strong executive communication and interpersonal strengths.
