Financial Controller – Bahamas | Luxury Hospitality
GAP Talent is partnering with an established luxury hospitality group to appoint an experienced Financial Controller based in the Bahamas.
This is a senior finance opportunity overseeing financial operations, controls, compliance, cost management, procurement and risk within a dynamic hospitality environment.
The Role
As Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring strong financial performance, governance and operational efficiency.
Working closely with senior leadership and operational teams, you will provide financial insight, strengthen controls and ensure the business operates to consistently high financial and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop finance and audit teams.
- Oversee accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and management information.
- Drive strong financial controls across income audit, payroll, accounts payable and cost management.
- Oversee taxation, internal and external audits, regulatory compliance and financial risk.
- Manage procurement and inventory controls.
- Ensure robust safeguards against fraud and financial irregularities.
- Partner with senior leadership, auditors, legal advisers and government agencies.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and operational efficiency.

About You
We are looking for a qualified and experienced finance leader with a strong background in hospitality, hotels, resorts or another complex operational environment.
You will ideally have:
- Qualified accountant with ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent.
- A Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Hospitality or a related field is preferred.
- Senior finance experience within luxury hospitality, hotels, resorts or a complex operational environment.
- Strong experience across financial controls, audit, compliance and cost management.
- Proven team leadership and development experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Commercially minded, analytical and highly detail-oriented.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
