Financial Controller
High-Growth International Consumer Business | Build & Scale | Future FD Opportunity
Central London | Hybrid Working
£80,000 to £100,000 + Bonus + LTIPS
We Do Group are exclusively partnering with one of the most exciting high-growth consumer businesses we’ve worked with.
In only a few years, the business has grown from an idea into a highly profitable, £100m+ international group, with customers around the world and ambitious plans to more than double in size over the next three years.
They are now hiring a Group Financial Controller who can grow with them.
This isn't about finding someone who has spent the last ten years running a large, established Finance function.
They want someone bright, ambitious and technically strong who has experienced growth, understands what good Finance looks like and is now ready for the opportunity to build, improve and take real ownership.
Finance has historically been supported by outsourced providers. Working closely with the Finance Director and Founder, you’ll help bring greater capability in house, improve reporting and controls and build the Finance infrastructure required for a significantly larger international business.
You’ll have genuine freedom to shape what Finance looks like as the company grows.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
- Taking greater ownership of Finance as capability moves in house
- Group reporting and consolidation across international entities
- Owning and improving month end, statutory reporting and audit
- Developing stronger controls, processes and reporting as the business scales
- Supporting international tax and compliance across the US, UK and Europe
- Cash flow, treasury and multi-currency management
- Playing a key role in ERP implementation and wider Finance transformation
- Using automation, technology and AI to make Finance smarter and more efficient
- Building out the Finance team as the business continues to grow
- Improving reporting across products, countries, customers and commercial channels
- Helping prepare the business for its next stage of international growth and a potential future transaction
The Candidate:
You could already be a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Senior Finance Manager looking for a bigger opportunity.
You’ll be a qualified accountant with strong foundations across reporting, controls, audit and month end, but importantly, you’ll want more.
Perhaps you’ve joined a business during a period of rapid growth, helped improve or build Finance, implemented new systems, supported international expansion or simply found yourself taking on considerably more responsibility than your job title suggests.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
Experience within e-commerce, consumer products, retail, FMCG, D2C, manufacturing or another product-led business would be useful, but it isn't essential.
What matters most is your trajectory.
They want someone curious, switched on and comfortable figuring things out. Someone who asks why, enjoys improving things and wants the opportunity to build rather than inherit a finished Finance function.
You don't need to have done every element of the role before. There will be areas you know extremely well and others you'll develop as the business grows.
Salary & Benefits:
- £80,000 to £100,000 base salary
- Bonus up to 30%
- Future EMI options
- 28 days holiday + bank holidays
- Private healthcare, dental and mental health cover
- Pension
- Flexible working hours
- Hybrid working
- Regular team socials and wellbeing benefits
Most importantly, there is a genuine career path here. The Finance Director wants someone who can grow alongside the business, take on increasing responsibility and potentially develop into the future Finance Director.
If you’re looking for the role that takes you from being a very good Finance Manager or Controller into a genuine senior Finance leader, this could be it.
“It took my CV and asked me questions relevant to understanding what kind of jobs to suggest for me. Suggestions were almost perfect. Jobs were exactly what I’ve been looking for.”
