Financial Controller | London / Hybrid | FTC: £100-£120k (DOE) | 6-month Contract

What you’ll be doing:

  • Owning the end-to-end month-end close process and ensuring timely, accurate financial outputs
  • Reviewing and approving journals, accruals, provisions and revenue recognition treatments
  • Maintaining balance sheet integrity through regular review, challenge and resolution of reconciling items
  • Producing high-quality financial information for senior stakeholders, highlighting risks and key movements
  • Managing short-term and medium-term cash flow forecasting and liquidity monitoring
  • Acting as a key finance contact for audit, statutory reporting, tax compliance and external advisors
  • Ensuring appropriate financial controls, approval frameworks and documentation are in place and followed
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning activities
  • Partnering with commercial and operational teams to provide financially sound input into decision-making
  • Leading and supporting a distributed finance team across accounting, payables and receivables functions
  • Addressing ad-hoc finance queries, issues and requests from senior management
  • Driving continuous process improvement
  • Supporting finance systems changes
  • Providing clear, concise financial updates to non-financial stakeholders

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) (Top 10 highly regarded)
  • Experience operating at Financial Controller level
  • Background in fast-paced, multi-entity environments (consumer, retail, product-led or similar)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with sound commercial judgement
