Contract: 3 months initially, with potential to extend

Qualification: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller / Finance Manager / Head of Finance to take the finance lead on a Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation, while providing strong financial control and leadership across the finance function.

This is a hands-on role requiring someone who has previously been the senior finance lead or key finance stakeholder on a Dynamics 365 implementation and understands how to translate finance requirements into an effective ERP design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the finance lead for the Dynamics 365 implementation, representing Finance throughout the project.
  • Define and validate finance requirements, processes and controls within the new system.
  • Work closely with the implementation partner, internal project team, IT and operational stakeholders.
  • Provide finance input into system design, configuration and key implementation decisions.
  • Lead or oversee areas including:
    • Chart of accounts and financial dimensions
    • General ledger
    • Accounts payable and accounts receivable
    • Fixed assets
    • Banking and cash management
    • Management reporting
    • Financial controls and approval workflows
  • Support data cleansing, migration and reconciliation between legacy systems and Dynamics 365.
  • Lead finance involvement in user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring the system operates effectively before go-live.
  • Identify gaps, risks and control issues and ensure these are resolved appropriately.
  • Support the development of new finance processes, documentation and controls.
  • Help prepare the finance team for go-live, including process changes and user adoption.
  • Maintain appropriate financial control and support BAU finance requirements alongside the implementation where required.
  • Provide clear updates on progress, issues and dependencies to senior stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
