Salary: £110,000 - £120,000 + 15% Bonus + Benefits

We are partnering with a well-established international financial services organisation to appoint a Financial Controller for its UK and wider regional operations. The Role

Reporting to a senior finance leader, the Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing financial control activities across the UK and selected international locations. The role carries responsibility for leading a multi-layered team, driving best practice, strengthening processes, and ensuring high-quality financial reporting and governance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This is a broad controllership position rather than a specialist regulatory role. While an understanding of financial services regulation is beneficial, the successful candidate will be expected to work alongside subject matter experts rather than lead technical regulatory matters directly.

  • Directly manage four team leaders covering areas including financial reporting, transactional finance and specialist business control functions
  • Maintain ownership of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting processes

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes, systems and team structures
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across finance and the wider business
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning activities
  • Oversee finance operations across multiple jurisdictions, with a primary focus on the UK market
