Qurated is growing, and we're looking for a Financial Controller to build and own our finance function.
Qurated is a rapidly scaling executive search and talent solutions business with offices in London and New York, working across financial services, legal, insurance and private equity. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Financial Controller to take ownership of finance day-to-day, improve how the function operates and ensure finance is properly connected to the wider business.
You'll report to our Fractional CFO and work closely with our co-founders, Operations and Commercial teams. This is a genuinely hands-on role where you'll have the opportunity to build processes, improve controls and make a visible impact on the business.
What you'll be doing:

- Produce accurate monthly management accounts and reporting packs
- Own credit control, cash collection and a rolling 13-week cash forecast
- Manage VAT, payroll and statutory compliance alongside external providers
- Manage intercompany, consolidation and currency requirements
- Review and improve existing finance processes and controls
- Build scalable processes around billing, expenses, supplier payments, payroll and commission
- Maximise the use of Xero, Dext, automation and AI-assisted tools
- Work closely with Operations and Commercial teams to connect placements, contractor timesheets and projects to invoicing, cash and reporting
- Provide profitability and margin analysis across practices, clients and teams
- Support budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling and wider commercial decisions
- Help prepare the business for future investment and due diligence

Iβm in my final year doing Economics and I donβt know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer β it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donβt need a masters. Letβs look at the ones youβd be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
