Financial Controller
Location: West Bromwich
Salary: £85,000–£95,000 (DOE)
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Managing Director and becoming the #1 in Finance across the group, managing 2. Play a key role in ERP optimisation, finance process improvement, reporting improvements, and business integration.
Key Role
- Full accounting top down and from Analysis, financial planning to monthly management accounts information
- Cash flow forecasting, working capital management and financial planning
- Driving ERP consolidation
- Genuine business partnering across all parts of the business
- Full finance process improvement
- Managing and developing 2 finance and accounts staff
- Supporting MD with tailored management information
- Strengthening controls and finance infrastructure as the group scales.
- Leading automation initiatives and identifying opportunities to leverage AI in a modern finance and accounting tech stack

You will ideally have / be all of these
- Good experience as FC or FM from a manufacturing or engineering environment
- A good level of manufacturing or engineering background.
- Experience of WIP reporting and controls, bills of materials, manufacturing costing and margin analysis
- Understand sales order flow through ERP systems, inventory and stock reporting
- Have multi-site operational finance experience
- The personality to be great on the shop floor and in the boardroom
- Brilliant communication skills
- Technically strong across reporting, forecasting and controls, and commercially minded
- Experienced with ERP systems — ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Have driven automation and process improvement.
- Have ambition to develop, learn and progress to Finance Director

Working Pattern
- One to two remote working days per week are available but preference is for a leader to be surrounded by their team and involved in day to day decisions.
