Financial Controller (Part-Time)
Location: Manchester (largely remote)
Hours: 3 days per week but flexible
Salary: c.£55k-£70k FTE equivalent, pro rata (DOE)
Reporting to: CEO
A well-established wealth management firm is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of finance, HR administration, and compliance support for the business. This role has grown from a pure finance function into a broader operational position, and would suit someone who enjoys variety and is comfortable being the go-to person across these three areas.

Key Responsibilities
Finance
- Purchase ledger and sales ledger
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- VAT returns
- Month end reporting
- Quarterly compliance returns
- Liaising with external accountants at year end
HR Administration
- Onboarding and offboarding
- Employment contracts and documentation
- General HR administration and record-keeping
Compliance
- Supporting the firm's regulatory compliance requirements
- Assisting with compliance monitoring and reporting as required

Skills Required
- Essential: experience within a wealth management, financial planning, or IFA business
- Accounting qualification advantageous, but QBE will be considered
- 2+ years of relevant experience in a similar combined finance/office role
- Comfortable working across finance, HR, and compliance without a large support team
- Self-starter with a "can-do" attitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Confident communicator at all levels, written and verbal
- Good IT skills (MS Excel, finance systems including Xero
