Financial Controller
Equifind is working with a London-based real estate developer and asset manager, based in Victoria, to hire a Financial Controller.
They've built a massive portfolio throughout the UK spanning logistics, retail, office and industrial assets, and have a strong track record of delivering market-leading returns for their investors. With a new fund launch on the horizon, it's an exciting time to join, and they're looking to strengthen the finance team ahead of that next phase of growth.
This is a senior hire, effectively deputising for the CFO and acting as the day-to-day lead across the finance function. A big part of the brief is helping to take reporting and analysis up to an institutional standard as the new fund comes on board, so there's a real chance to shape processes and put your stamp on things.
You'll also take ownership of a team of 5, ranging in experience and seniority. They're keen to find someone who genuinely enjoys managing people and will invest time in developing and mentoring the team, rather than just overseeing the numbers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
