I’m currently looking for a Financial Controller to join an international, multi-entity business on an interim 12 month FTC basis.
This is a great opportunity for a qualified finance professional to take ownership of financial control and reporting across French entities, while playing a key role in improving and streamlining the month-end close process.
The Role
You will take responsibility for the financial integrity of the French entities, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls and compliance with IFRS, Group Accounting Policies and local statutory requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the month-end and year-end close, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Owning French statutory reporting, financial statements and external audit coordination.
- Reviewing general ledger entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and deferred revenue.
- Overseeing inventory accounting, fixed assets, CAPEX and related financial controls.
- Providing technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and France-specific statutory requirements.
- Supporting cash flow reporting and partnering with FP&A, Tax, Treasury and wider business stakeholders.
- Driving continuous improvement across accounting processes, controls and reporting.
- Leading the redesign and automation of the month-end close process, moving manual reconciliation activities towards a more streamlined, Oracle enabled workflow.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
