Financial Controller - Brighton

Description

  • Manage the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support business goals.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage financial risks effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with external auditors.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team to maintain high performance standards.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making within the organisation.
  • Review and optimise internal financial controls and systems.

Profile

A successful Financial Controller should have:

  • A professional accounting qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and an understanding of financial compliance.
  • Proven experience in managing financial operations within a business services environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data effectively.
