Pure Resourcing Solutions are partnering with a fast-growing purpose-led organisation based on the outskirts of Cambridge to recruit a Financial Controller to join its Virtual Finance Office Accounts team.
This is a client-facing role leading client finance operations, delivering high-quality financial management services, and acting as a trusted advisor—providing insight, strengthening controls, and proactively identifying improvement opportunities. You’ll also support internal team development and help drive exceptional service delivery.
- Own and develop client relationships end-to-end (onboarding ? delivery), leading meetings, reviews, and proposals
- Provide proactive financial advice and commercial insight to stakeholders
- Take commercial ownership of billing, WIP, recoveries, profitability, budgets, and resourcing
- Review/sign off management accounts and reporting, ensuring strong quality and compliance
- Coach and develop junior team members, helping build a high-performing team culture
- Drive process and tech improvement, improving workflows and controls
- Identify and manage risk and see issues through to resolution

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take a step up from a senior management accountant or Finance manager role. You will be ACCA or ACA qualified or equivalent and ideally have had experience working in practice and working with and managing a portfolio of SME clients and be able to demonstrate strong delivery.
