Financial Controller - Germany & Austria

We're partnering with a well-established global aviation and travel business in the appointment of a Financial Controller responsible for the Germany and Austria operations. Reporting into senior leadership, the successful candidate will take responsibility for financial control, reporting, planning, compliance, and commercial support across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Full ownership of finance activities for Germany and Austria
  • Monthly close, management reporting, and variance analysis
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Tax, compliance, and statutory reporting oversight
  • Business partnering with Country Managers and senior stakeholders
  • Supporting commercial initiatives and supplier negotiations
  • Maintaining and enhancing financial controls and processes
  • Working closely with international teams across multiple European markets

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent)
  • Fluent German and English
  • Strong technical accounting and financial control experience
  • Comfortable operating independently within a standalone finance function
  • Experience within an international, multi-entity, or cross-border environment would be advantageous
  • Open to individuals from a variety of sector backgrounds
