About The Role
As Financial Controller, you will provide strategic and operational financial leadership across MAG's global activities. Working closely with the Executive Director of Finance & Digital Transformation, you will lead our corporate finance function, lead the preparation of statutory reporting withing a strong compliance framework, and ensure the delivery of high-quality financial information that supports effective decision-making; including foreign exchange and treasury management.
Location: Hybrid, Manchester, UK (with occasional international travel)
Reports to: Executive Director, Finance & Digital Transformation
Direct Reports: Head of Corporate Finance
Salary: £68,544 - £77,556
You will play a key role in protecting and strengthening MAG's financial health while supporting ambitious organisational growth and transformation.

About The Individual
You are an experienced, qualified finance professional with a proven track record of leading finance functions in complex, regulated environments.
You bring both strategic thinking and operational excellence, together with the ability to inspire teams and build strong relationships across an international organisation.
Essential Experience
- Senior-level financial leadership and operational finance management.
- Working within highly regulated environments with strong compliance requirements.
- Treasury management, financial risk management and foreign exchange oversight.
- Statutory reporting, financial consolidation and audit management.
- Implementation and monitoring of robust financial controls.
- Leading organisational change and finance systems transformation.
- Managing financial operations across multiple currencies and jurisdictions.
Essential Skills & Knowledge
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent).
- Outstanding leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Strong analytical and decision-making capability.
- Knowledge of international taxation and financial compliance requirements.
- Understanding of insurance and risk management processes.
