Financial Controller - Family Office
Windsor – office based

Overview
We have an excellent opportunity within a Family Office for an experienced Financial Controller to manage the financial affairs of a high net worth family, their businesses and personal interests. This is a hands-on role covering finances, investments, property, tax, payroll and coordination with external advisors.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile personal bank accounts and credit cards; approve expenses and maintain accurate accounting records
- Prepare management accounts, tax returns and financial reports
- Manage investments and monitor strategy, tax planning and risk
- Manage relationships with banks, accountants, solicitors, insurers and investment advisors
- Maintain personal records, KYC and compliance documentation
- Manage residential and commercial property, including tenants, contractors, rent, invoices, repairs and renewals
- Oversee property projects, budgets and timelines
- Manage payroll and bookkeeping for personal accounts, trusts, partnerships and investment entities
- Manage UK and international tax exposure and related filings
- Oversee ATED, AEOI, VAT, FATCA and other reporting requirements
- Support family members with ad hoc projects and activities, including European horse transportation and related VAT/logistics

Profile
- Qualified Accountant with strong accounting and bookkeeping skills, ideally gained within a complex private client or owner-managed environment
- Experience in a private office, family office or HNW household finance environment
- Experience working with multiple advisors and jurisdictions
- Strong commercial judgement and ability to identify financial and tax risks
- Independent, organised and able to prioritise within a small team
- Discreet, trustworthy and confident dealing with a broad range of stakeholders
- Clear, concise communicator with a can-do attitude
- UK driving license
- Property management experience desirable
- Sage 50 experience desirable
